How you’ll contribute
Participate in efforts to build, manage, and monitor enterprise infrastructure components & systems in a multi-tiered and highly available framework.
Recommend and execute processes to ensure systems and/or solutions achieve and maintain. qualification and/or validation in accordance with regulations and guidance from the organization.
Recommend and participate in efforts to automate and orchestrate cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Participate in the deployment and management of United Therapeutics’ next generation data center, cloud, and network infrastructure.
Participate in efforts to achieve and maintain infrastructure security operational guidelines, standards, and baselines.
Participate in and accelerate efforts to optimize, right-size, manage, and maintain infrastructure components that may include network, storage, compute, hypervisor, sever, and cloud infrastructure services, systems, and solutions based on analysis, business requirements, and departmental need.
Identify and execute process improvements based upon principals of scale, automation, and orchestration in efforts to ease operational overhead on the team via scripting, orchestration platforms, and/or software defined platforms.
Participate in efforts to implement, and deliver technology solutions based on analysis, business requirements, and departmental need.
Design, deploy, and support complex service packages, workloads, and resources on premise and in the cloud.
Identify and document steps to take in processes and methodologies for test, deployment, and maintenance to ensure scalability, security compliance, organizational compliance, consistency, and maintainability in an effort to decrease delivery time, increase availability, and improve consistency & quality of the delivered service.
Recommend, monitor, maintain and respond to logging, monitoring, and reporting platforms to ensure the health of the environment.
Create and maintain infrastructure documentation for rack elevations, fiber maps, infrastructure topology, and system/solution configuration.
Create and maintain standard documentation for deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and regular operations.
Facilitate launch, release, and transition of new products, systems, services, and solutions.
Participate in the monitoring and operations of United Therapeutics’ cloud and on-premise services and systems.
Participate in the delivery of infrastructure incident, problem, change, and knowledge management services to the organization.
Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and problems associated with corporate applications, databases, and software facilities sitting atop IT managed storage, compute, and networks.
Assist with troubleshooting problems within business and IT owned and managed services, software as a service [SaaS], infrastructure as a service [IaaS], and platform as a service [PaaS] solutions.
Work with security response teams during security incidents and participate in security audits.
Participate in performance and capacity management exercises.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Participate in after-hours project, service, and/or solution launch, release, and/or changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
For this role you will need
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of relevant experience
Ability to travel up to 10%
Certifications from any of the following vendors: ITIL, Palo Alto, Meraki, Cisco, Microsoft, Nutanix, OKTA, AWS, and/or Citrix
Hands on experience managing and implementing infrastructure solutions leveraging multiple services within public cloud providers and/or cross platform APIs for AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
Experience developing and maintaining solutions with software defined, automation, and orchestration tools such as chef, puppet, ansible, terraform, etc.
Experience developing scripts in PowerShell, java, ruby, python, php, and/or pearl
Hands on experience with Palo Alto, Windows Server, VMWare, Nutanix, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, Citrix, Meraki, Load Balancers, Wan Acceleration, SDWan, OKTA, MPLS, PKI, and/or Shavlik

Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only:
The salary range for this role is $103,275 to $139,725.
This role is also eligible for the Company’s incentive plan

The salary range is the range United Therapeutics Corporation in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
