How you’ll contribute

The Associate Patient Support Training Director is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the training curriculum to support the patient support team, new hire training, onboarding, and role specific supplemental development training. This individual plays a key role in our success by ensuring that our teams receive the required knowledge and education responsible to execute programs and engagements successfully and compliantly.

  • Collaborate with department leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders to plan, develop, and execute training plans to support program implementation, execution, and continuous improvement

  • Effectively manage all training processes and vendors to deliver departmental curriculum

  • Partner with corporate learning and development to embed UT Universe and corporate trainings into departmental learning plans

  • Engage as subject matter expert with field sales training on patient support program messaging, training objectives, and pull-through

  • Perform all other duties as required

For this role you will need

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, business, education, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience or,

  • Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge and direct experience with patient support programs

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create learning curriculums and plans

  • Strong project management skills with proven track record of execution and results

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, foster collaborative environments, and negotiate and influence in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to identify and adapt to individual learning styles

  • Experience utilizing adult learning concepts, training techniques, and management principles

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to quickly develop working relationships and credibility with key stakeholders

  • Understanding of CRM and related Patient Support Services technologies

  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centric mindset to provide the best possible support and care

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

  • Position will be located out of our RTP, NC location

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in life sciences, business, education, or a related field

  • Experience with Salesforce or Healthcloud CRM platforms

  • Rare disease and / or complex therapy administration experience
