How you’ll contributeServes as a regional clinical and scientific resource and work to pair the changing needs of nurse/advance practice providers (APPs) with available United Therapeutics resources and is responsible for clinical exchange with those thought leaders, education on company products and disease states of interest, and support of clinical study sites currently participating in studies with United Therapeutics.

  • Support research and development by performing site initiation device trainings for researchers participating in UT trials in such areas as device education, disease state, adverse events, and drug dosing and titration

  • Identify, develop and maintain professional relationships with key nurse/advanced practice provider (APP) thought leaders in assigned areas of therapeutic interest to ensure communication of current and emerging clinical and scientific information on products/devices, resulting in improvement of optimal patient care and outcomes

  • Present data on products to nurse/advanced practice providers (APPs) consistent with company policies and procedures

  • Respond to off-label, unsolicited requests to support healthcare professionals as well as requests from pediatric facilities requesting education on company sponsored products

  • Provide clinical and scientific exchange to key PH-ILD nurse/APPs in a variety of practice settings; ensuring that they have the latest information on products resulting in optimal patient care and outcomes

  • Serve as a field-based therapeutic area expert demonstrating high scientific acumen and competency of assigned therapeutic disease states, products/devices and competitor data; and as a local clinical and scientific expert for product planning, clinical insights and intelligence

  • Capture, synthesize and deliver nurse/APP-derived scientific insights to internal teams

  • Deliver and execute effective training to internal stakeholders, and onboarding/mentoring to new hires

  • Provide cross-functional strategic input across Global Medical Affairs

  • Lead, support and execute on clinical projects, programs, and initiatives, including ones with external HCPs

  • Lead or contribute to creation of content for internal/external use as needed and appropriate

  • Perform other duties as assigned

For this role you will need

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MSN or MMS) in nursing or NP or PA

  • 3+ years of advanced clinical experience in Interstitial/Fibrotic Lung Disease or Lung Transplant

  • Currently practicing as a NP or PA

  • Currently licensed as NP or PA

  • Knowledge of Interstitial Lung Disease and/or Lung Transplant

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including scientific and medical information with a diverse audience of both internal and external personnel in small and large setting

  • Strong team, planning, communication, and organizational skills

  • Self-starter with high motivation and energy

  • Ability to work independently and adjust effectively to work within new processes or requirements

  • Performance driven with ability to set high standard of performance for self and others

  • Able to multi task and prioritize with excellent time-management

  • Expert clinical knowledge with strong teaching, presentation, facilitation and instructional skills

  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of devices used to deliver current UT therapies
